I wasn’t expecting to see much over the woods this morning, I set myself a goal of finding at least one thing to photograph. There were a few flowers but the mist was great and a few bushes were starting to blossom. Should have some snowdrops soon.
A very different subject to the landscape in the UK. My daily hiking trips allowed me to get to some great locations, albeit in the middle of the day. Harsh lighting was helped by a few Winter clouds on the road from Playa Paraiso. When I was editing the shot I noticed a small bird of prey (Kestrel?) is perched on the big cactus.
The trouble with competing in an event is that you cant take photos at the same time. Earlier in the year there was a great, inspirational photo-journalism story that a Guardian photographer took of the UCI event in Ipswich. I did manage one or two images at my local league at the weekend and I’d like to do more. Maybe in the Summer at cross country…
