Freezing Southwold

It was freezing on the beach this morning. I was pleased to find this driftwood although I couldn’t see much detail in the viewfinder as my eyes were streaming with the cold wind. These stones were naturally in the wood, I think you can always see when things are placed by the photographer.

Docklands Festival of Light

I’ve been to the Docklands Festival of Light a few times. The camera club organised an informal trip there last night and I went along with half-dozen others. The lighting in the afternoon was great and I decided to go up early, I missed my stop and ended up having to walk to Bank. That was good luck because I think my favourite shot was in Fenchurch St with the low sunlight illuminating the corner building and a couple walking along. The Festival itself was great, albeit quite a lot of walking. Great to spend some time with the Club members, lots of camera and photography chat!

Tuscany

A very brief visit to Tuscany, visiting Pisa and a couple of surrounding towns. On the last day the lighting was great around the area of the leaning tower. I got a couple of pictures I am happy with, even though this wasn’t a photography trip.
